CKLW-FM 94 * 1986 * CHARLIE O’BRIEN

Charlie O’Brien CKLW aircheck date: Saturday, June 21, 1986

___

NEW! A special THANK YOU to Ted Smucker, Granger, Indiana, for recently donating this CKLW-FM radio aircheck (unscoped!) to Motor City Radio Flashbacks!

* THE TED SMUCKER COLLECTION *

A MCRFB Note: While there is several FM frequency audio distortions having been recorded on this CKLW-FM aircheck, you’ll note the quality is quite stellar with this recording overall. The distortion you will hear was due, in part, the recording having been made beyond the 93.9 FM bandwidth coverage — extending far outside of its Detroit frequency range and boundaries on June 21, 1986.

According to this aircheck’s contributor, Ted Smucker, he recorded this CKLW-FM memory that day on his cassette recorder at his home in — Upland, Indiana!
